Mike has two degrees in the Education field. His Bachelors is in Music Education from UNC in Greeley and his Masters is in Computer Education from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Mike has taught in the Boulder Valley School district since 1979 and his current assignment includes directing the Bands at Broomfield High School and Broomfield Heights Middle School. He also teaches two technology classes at Broomfield Heights as well.

Mike and his wife, Amy, live in Broomfield, and have four children.
