Connie has a French degree from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, with a certificate from the Sorbonne in Paris and further studies in Grenoble.

Connie works as a paralegal for her husband, Buck, who has a law practice in Boulder, and she is the administrator for the Boulder County Estate Planning Council, a group of interdisciplinary estate planners.

They have two married children – their son and his wife live in Denver; their daughter and her husband are in Seoul, South Korea. She enjoys cooking, reading and being creative.
