Rich has degrees in Electronic Engineering Technology and Computer Information Systems Technology from Oregon Institute of Technology, plus a degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. He works as a Network/Systems engineer for a software integration company in Denver, but enjoys many Saturdays camping and four-wheeling in the mountains.

Rich has performed with the Boulder Concert Band, the Brighton Music Community Orchestra, the Broomfield Civic Orchestra, the Denver Concert Band, and the Mostly Strauss Orchestra.

Rich and his wife Kirsten live in Westminster, are the parents of three children, and have two cats.
